About the Authors
Lyssa Wilson Becho
Principal Research Associate, The Evaluation Center, Western Michigan UniversityLyssa is the Director of EvaluATE, she leads the training elements of EvaluATE, including webinars, workshops, resources, and evaluation coaching. She also works with Valerie on strategy and reporting for the ATE annual survey. Lyssa is a principal research associate at The Evaluation Center at Western Michigan University and co-principal investigator for EvaluATE. She holds a Ph.D. in evaluation and has 7 years of experience conducting evaluations for a variety of local, national, and international programs.
Robert Ruff
Senior Research Associate, SAMPIDr. Robert Ruhf (Bob) is a Senior Research Associate with Science and Mathematics Program Improvement (SAMPI). Bob began working with SAMPI in May 2007 and has managed the evaluation efforts of numerous projects funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Michigan Department of Education (MDE), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Projects have included at least five Michigan Mathematics and Science Partnership (MSP) programs, two NSF GK-12 programs, two NSF RET programs, two NSF CCLI programs, one NSF IUSE program, and one NIH Bridges to Baccalaureate program. Ruhf has also served on the evaluation teams for two Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) programs at WMU and an undergraduate statistics education program.
Cody Williams
Director, Western Michigan University- SAMPIDr. Cody Williams is an Assistant Professor of Science Education and Director of Science and Mathematics Program Improvement (SAMPI). He has worked with SAMPI since 2011 and has served on the evaluation teams for several projects funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), U.S. Department of Education (USDOE), and the Michigan Department of Education (MDE). Current and past projects include a U.S. Department of Education NPD project GK-12 project, several Michigan Mathematics and Science Partnership (MSP) projects, the MDE Improving Teacher Quality Competitive Grants Program Title IIA project, and WMU’s Woodrow Wilson Fellows project.
