Q: In your view, what makes a successful evaluation?

A: I believe a successful evaluation helps deepen programmatic learning. It also aids in enhancing the program.

Q: What evaluation approaches inform your practice? Do you gravitate more toward quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods?

A: I always utilize a culturally responsive evaluation approach; however, this may be combined with other approaches that fit the context. I gravitate towards mixed methods for data collection.

Q: How do you build trust with projects you’re evaluating?

A: It’s really important to be your genuine self as well as to be open to learning about the project and elements related to the project.

Q: What’s your favorite pastime or hobby?

A: My favorite thing to do is get lost in the woods somewhere.

Q: What’s something quirky or unique about you that people may not know?

A: I used to have vanity license plates that said Kermit15 in homage to Kermit the Frog.
