There are no stupid questions, but some questions are better than others when it comes to framing evaluations. The best evaluation questions are reasonably scoped, informed by a breadth of information sources, and define the boundaries of an evaluation.

Determining the questions that will focus an evaluation is a critical first step in evaluation planning. It’s an opportunity to surface the values that should guide technical decision-making, think ahead to how questions will be answered with data, and clarify expectations for the evaluation. In this webinar, we will walk through guidelines for asking good process and outcome evaluation questions for ATE projects. We’ll grapple with balancing the science of linking questions to project logic models and intended outcomes with the art of asking questions that are clear, meaningful, and answerable.
